They include music, communion preparation, greeters to welcome people and hand out bulletins, scripture reading during services, seasonal decorating and other seasonal event oriented tasks. We are blessed with many willing and talented volunteers to take on these tasks, but can always use more help!

Music style in worship at OCF is blended with everything from old favorite hymns to more contemporary praise songs and everything in between. We have a praise team and add choir voices periodically as well. We currently have a wide range of different instruments and ages on our team and we celebrate these diverse talents and personal backgrounds as we come together to praise God.

No matter what your gifts, if it is your desire to serve with a humble heart, and to give God the glory, there are definitely places you can serve in the worship ministries at OCF! Opportunities include praise team, choir, special music, and accompanying hymns if you are musically talented. Other important areas include helping with seasonal tasks like decorating or working to organize seasonal music/drama program items. An example of this might be helping organize a skit or musical dance number with kids for Christmas or Easter. If you are a technical A/V whiz (or would like to learn) we have sound board operation and projected lyrics to support the praise music, as well as sermon recording and playing of videos and slide shows for guest and missionary presenters. There are opportunities to help prepare the communion table on a monthly basis. You can also get involved as a greeter to extend a welcoming hand as people come to worship. We also have need of volunteers for reading scripture during the worship services. These opportunities can be weekly commitments or more occasional ones, but all of the work needs to be done! We are always interested in encouraging people to share the gifts and talents God has blessed them with to strengthen the Body of Christ and to Glorify God!
